Starfield: How To Romance Andreja (4 Easy Steps)

To romance Andreja in Starfield, you need to unlock her as your active companion first. Without this step, she won't join you on any missions or travels, which are crucial for building a romantic relationship with her. Andreja will occasionally offer advice, suggestions, or her own viewpoints. Paying attention to her advice will improve your affinity with her.

To romance Andrea, follow these steps:

  1. Unlocking Andreja as a Companion
  2. Make Andreja Like You
  3. Do Divided Loyalties Quest
  4. Build Affinity with Andreja

1. Unlocking Andreja as a Companion

Before you can even think about romancing Andreja, you'll need to unlock her as a companion. This is achieved by completing the main quest titled "Into the Unknown".

Into the Unknown Quest

Your first interaction with Andreja during the "Into the Unknown" quest is crucial. It's not just about completing the quest but also about making a good impression. Choose your dialogue options wisely, as they can influence Andreja's perception of you.

  1. Locate Andreja: The quest will direct you to a specific location where Andreja is found. This is usually a remote outpost or a space station.
  2. Engage in Dialogue: Once you find Andreja, a dialogue sequence will initiate. Your choices here can set the tone for your future relationship.
  3. Complete the Mission: Andreja will ask for your assistance in a specific mission. This could range from gathering resources to defeating enemies.
  4. Return to Andreja: After completing the mission, return to Andreja to finalize the quest.

Once you've successfully completed the "Into the Unknown" quest, Andreja becomes available as a companion. You can find Andreja in the Lodge and invite her to your crew. This will unlock Andreja and you are ready to build a potential romantic relationship with her, which can be explored in subsequent quests and dialogues.

2. Make Andreja Like You

You'll receive a notification saying 'Andreja likes this' at the top-right corner of your screen whenever you make a choice that aligns with her preferences. This is an indicator that your affinity level with her has increased. Since Starfield doesn't provide a way to check your affinity levels with companions, it's wise to remember the kinds of actions that Andreja approves of. You might even see a notification saying 'Andreja loved this.'

AspectLikesDislikes

Quest ChoicesAssertiveness, direct actionsHesitation, second-guessing
Dialogue ToneIndependence, self-relianceSigns of weakness, cowardice
Moral ChoicesActions that align with her own moral codeActions that go against her values
Quest ExamplesIntimidating Captain Petrov in "No Sudden Moves"Second-guessing yourself in "Unearthed"

Andreja is not one to shy away from underhanded tactics. She often appreciates a more direct approach that involves brute force and intimidation. However, it's essential to note that while she may enjoy a show of strength, she doesn't condone cruelty, especially towards innocent people. Crossing that line will not sit well with her, so it's crucial to strike a balance between being assertive and being cruel.

3. Divided Loyalties Quest

To keep the romance going with Andreja in Starfield, always choose the "flirt" option when you see it. As she starts to like you more, you'll have at least four special talks with her. After the fourth one, she opens up about her past. She used to be a spy for Va'ruun, sent to sneak into your group, Constellation. She's switched sides now, but she's still worried about her old friends. This kicks off a new mission called Divided Loyalties.

  1. Head to Akila City's bar and find a person named Eren.
  2. Travel to Hyla II in the Hyla system to locate Eren's camp. Watch out for Va'ruun cultists nearby.
  3. Take out the bad guys and go inside the building. Eren's slate and Va'ruun Scripture 04 are on the second floor. This boosts your sneak and melee skills.
  4. Next, go to Chthonia in the Wolf system. Dock at the space station and ask around for Jaeda.
  5. Finally, this will lead you to a planet called Anomaly in the Groombridge system.
  6. When you get to Anomaly, a ship called the Raptor contacts you. Tell Jaeda that Andreja is trying to make things right, then board the ship.
  7. Once inside, you'll find Jaeda aiming a gun at both of you. Use the Negotiation option or other ways to calm her down.
  8. Head to Muphrid IV in the Muphrid system. Andreja will flip a switch to show a hidden path.
  9. At the end of this path, you'll meet Andreja's old boss Tomisar. Andreja wants to kill him, but you can talk her into letting the Va'ruun Council handle it instead.

4. Build Affinity with Andreja

After completing the various tasks and quests that have built up your relationship with Andreja, you're now ready for the final chapter in your Starfield romance. Head back to The Lodge in New Atlantis and find Andreja in her room. This is where you'll have a pivotal conversation that can seal your romantic fate.

Choose responses that show your commitment and love for her, such as "Whatever happens next, we'll face it together," and "You don't need House Va'ruun. You have a family in Constellation." When the romance option appears, saying "[Romance] I'll always be here for you. I love you," will set the stage for what comes next. Follow this up with "I'm all yours for as long as you want me," to further strengthen your relationship.

Shortly after this heartfelt conversation, another unique dialogue will occur. This is where you can take the relationship to the next level by choosing the "[Commitment] I think it's time we make it official" option. This is a significant moment, as it leads to Andreja's commitment quest. Finishing this quest is the final step in romancing Andreja. If you complete it, you and Andreja will get married, making you official partners in the Starfield.
