Lies of P: How to Defeat the Door Guardian

The weakness of Door Guardian is his right leg. The way to beat Door Guardian is by hitting his right leg until he staggers, and hits his head while he is staggered. The hardest part of beating Door Guardian is to dodge his fall after staggering him to avoid significant damage. His attacks include Roll, Hook Swing, Stomp, Uppercut, Smash, Jump Smash, Sweep, and Body Slam.

When the Door Guardian rolls to change his stance, moves out of the roll's path. His side punch, known as the Hook Swing, can be blocked or dodged. The Stomp and Uppercut require players to dodge backward, while the Smash and Jump Smash can be evaded by moving to the side or away from the landing zone. The Sweep can be blocked, and the Body Slam can be avoided by staying out of the range.

How to Defeat the Door Guardian in Lies of P

1. Targeting the Vulnerable Leg: While the Door Guardian's armored leg deflects most attacks, his exposed right leg is his Achilles heel. Concentrate your strikes on this leg. Once sufficiently damaged, the Door Guardian will be staggered, allowing players to land a powerful Fatal Attack on his head.

2. Wait For The Right Moment: The Door Guardian's moves are slow and predictable. Watch out for hand swipes, overhead slams, and foot stomps. Maintain a safe distance and wait for the opportunity to strike when he reverts to his neutral stance.

3. Mastering Dodges: As the Door Guardian is about to strike, dodge towards him. This not only evades damage but also positions you for a counter-strike.

4. Counter Overhead Slams: The Door Guardian's overhead slams are the best time for counterattacks. These moves have extended recovery times, giving you a chance to land heavy damage on his vulnerable leg, staggering him. This is your opportunity to deal significant damage. However, be cautious when it's getting back up, as it can still land hits during this phase.

5. Evading the Fury Attack Elbow Drop: When the Door Guardian is about to make this move, run away to a safe distance. When he misses, do not counterattack immediately because he might follow up with a somersault attack. Instead, circle around him and keep waiting for an opening.

6. Aim for Head When Staggered: When he falls, avoid standing directly in front of him to prevent taking damage. Once staggered, aim for his head for maximum damage. The strategy for this boss is repetitive. Continue to focus on the leg, dodge its attacks, and strike when it falls. Eventually, the Door Guardian's health will go down, and you will defeat him.

7. Final Blow: Once the Door Guardian's health is critically low, a prompt will appear, allowing you to do a final attack. Make sure you're in the right position and press the required button to finish the fight.
