In Baldur's Gate 3, Sarin is a character who was killed by her companions because they believed she was a member of the Absolute cult. Their suspicion grew when she concealed their loot to prevent them from being discovered.
The Sarin's Skeleton puzzle requires players to piece together the mystery surrounding the skeletal remains of Sarin by finding and inserting the skull into Sarin's skeleton. When the missing skull is placed in Sarin, you will receive a Magic Amulet.
Sarin's Skeleton Location
The Sarin's Skeleton puzzle is located in the sewers and cisterns of the city proper in Act 3. As you navigate the underground region, you will come across Aelis Siryasius, a wizard accompanied by an army of grease creatures.
Aelis is fleeing from the Absolute cultists, and depending on the player's interactions, they might end up in combat with him and his creatures. Regardless of the outcome, players will discover that Aelis is guarding the remains of his fallen comrade, Sarin.
Upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that Sarin's skeleton is missing its skull. Activating the skeleton reveals a slot where an item can be placed, hinting at the puzzle's solution.

To solve the Sarin's Skeleton puzzle, you need to first find Sarin's missing skull. The skull can be found to the west of the Undercity Ruins waypoint, which is situated directly north of the skeleton's location.
Head west from the waypoint until you encounter Voiceless Penitent Bareki. Behind him, up a set of stairs, lies a pouch containing Sarin's Skull. However, obtaining the skull requires stealth, as taking it without being noticed by the nearby vendor is crucial.
Once you got the skull, return to Sarin's coffin. If you had previously convinced Aelis Siryasius of friendly intentions, he would become hostile upon seeing you tamper with Sarin's remains.
Aelis's grease creatures are weak against fire, making fire-based attacks effective against them. After dealing with any threats, you can place the skull onto Sarin's skeleton to complete the puzzle.
Rewards
Upon successfully solving the Sarin's Skeleton puzzle, you will get a magic amulet. This amulet has a unique ability that allows you to use a reaction to make an Attack Roll or a Saving Throw with Advantage once per long rest.
