What Level Should I Be For The Underdark?
You should be level 5 to enter the Underdark. Level 5 provides a balance of challenge and feasibility in the Underdark and it is generally recommended by most Baldur's Gate 3 players. At this level, your characters have more advanced abilities and potential gear upgrades to better handle enemy encounters in the Underdark.
Level | Experience in the Underdark |
---|---|
3 | Highly challenging. Enemies have higher HP and stronger abilities. Risk of being outmatched is high. |
4 | Moderate challenge. Additional abilities and gear improve chances, but some areas can still be tough. |
5 | Recommended level. Significant power boost for characters, making encounters more manageable. Balanced experience. |
Entering the Underdark at Level 3: going into the Underdark at level 3 can be quite challenging. The enemies you'll encounter are likely to have higher HP and stronger abilities than your party. You might find yourself frequently outmatched, leading to potential frequent reloads or strategic retreats. If this is your second play-through, it's possible to navigate through with careful planning, but it's undoubtedly a more difficult experience.
Entering the Underdark at Level 4: At level 4, you'll have a better chance in the Underdark. While still challenging, your party would have gained additional abilities and possibly better gear. Your party may still be a bit under-leveled even at this stage, especially when encountering certain high HP enemies, but you should make it through with strategic gameplay.
