Lords Of The Fallen: Save the Petrified Woman Kukajin

While exploring the depths of Mournstead in Lords of the Fallen, you will find a Petrified Woman frozen in stone but alive. This is Kukajin, known as a member of the Envenomed, once belonged to a renowned mercenary company.

Her petrification is the result of a deceitful act by a sorcerer named Wilmarc. Hired for protection during his expedition to Mournstead, Kukajin was promised enhanced resilience through magic. However, Wilmarc's spell turned her to stone. Kukajin's statue remains concealed within a cave, waiting to be discovered.

Finding The Petrified Woman Kukajin

As you reach Forsaken Fogfe, you will come across the Vestige of Valade. There is a door that leads to the Petrified Woman, but it's locked from the other side.

To find Kukajin:

  1. Go to the Vestige of Valade. If you've interacted with Byron earlier, he will be there as well.
  2. Adjacent to the Vestige, there's a door leading to the Petrified Woman. However, it's locked from the other side.
  3. Continue along the path past the Vestige, turning left until you encounter a fallen tree with a large bonfire behind it.
  4. Ascend the fallen tree and watch out for the Shura Warriors. Proceed across a small wooden bridge to find the previously mentioned door. Unlock it to create a shortcut back to the Vestige.
  5. Retrace your steps towards the bonfire in the swamp. A vine-covered cave is on the left side, and there is a Petrified Woman singing her haunting melody.
  6. Clear the vines to talk with her and she will ask you for help.

Free Kukajin With Radiance Sanctify Spell

To free Kukajin from her petrified state, you need to cast the Sanctify spell to transform her back to her original form. This spell is located in a chest atop the tower situated between the main hub and the Pieta boss battle arena.

The Sanctify spell requires 18 Radiance and a Radiant Catalyst. Alternatively, the Cleansing Spring spell, which requires only 8 Radiance, can be purchased from Exacter Dunmire after vanquishing the Gentle Gaverus boss.

If you choose not to invest in Radiance or are indifferent to Kukajin's quest, there's an option to shatter her statue. This action results in Kukajin's demise but you will get the Kukajin's Sword, which inflicts both bleed and poison damage. The catalyst behind the statue will remain accessible.

Upon Kukajin's revival, she will give you a Pendant of Induration, which boost your Physical Defence. Additionally, Wilmarc's Catalyst can be collected from behind the statue's former location.

Reward: Ability To Summon Kukajin

After freeing Kukajin, you can find her again at Skyrest Bridge in a holding cell near the vestige. Talk to her and she will offer you the "Kukajin Invoice." This pact allows you to summon her for assistance in specific boss battles in exchange for Vigor after each victory.

To summon her for boss fight, look for a cluster of moths outside the boss's door. This signifies Kukajin's presence. After each summoning and successful boss defeat with her help, return to the hub to compensate her with Vigor.
