To get a Golem as a Necromancer in Diablo 4, you must first reach Level 25 to unlock "The Underworld Quest." Completing this quest grants you the Golem summoning ability. You can then customize your Golem through the Book of the Dead, tailoring its abilities to fit your playstyle. How to Unlock the Golem Step 1: Unlock the Quest Upon reaching Level 25, you'll receive an in-game notification alerting you that "The Underworld Quest" has been unlocked. This is your cue to start the quest. Open your quest journal to find "The Underworld Quest" listed among your available quests. This is where you can read the quest description and objectives. Step 2: Locate the Quest Objective The quest places you just northwest of Kyova Shades. Follow the main road to reach the Shrine of Rathma, located in a bone hollowed out area. Step 3: Activate the Shrine and Speak to Maltorius Activate the shrine to bring out an NPC named Maltorius. Listen to his instructions (or skip if you prefer). Step 4: Collect Bones You are tasked with fighting monsters in a designated area to collect bones. Note: Not all monsters drop bones, so you may need to clear the area multiple times. Step 5: Find the Cave Containing the Vile Artifact Your next objective is to find a cave containing a vile artifact. The cave is also located northwest of Kyova Shades. Step 6: Fill the Jar of Souls Inside the cave, you will find a Jar of Souls. You need to kill vengeful spirits to fill the jar. Step 7: Complete the Quest After filling the jar, elite monsters will spawn. Defeat them to proceed. Speak to Maltorius again to complete the quest. Step 8: Customize Your Golem Upon completing the quest, you will unlock the Golem section in the Book of the Dead. You can customize your Golem, starting with the Bone Golem. Open the Book of the Dead: Navigate to your inventory and locate the Book of the Dead item. Open it to access its contents. Locate the Golem Section: Scroll through the Book of the Dead until you find the section specifically dedicated to the Golem. Select the Type of Golem: Initially, you'll have access to the Bone Golem. As you level up, you'll unlock more types like the Blood Golem at level 28 and the Iron Golem at level 32. Confirm Your Selection: Once you've made your choices, confirm the selection to apply the enhancements or sacrifices to your Golem. Exit the Book of the Dead: Once you're satisfied with your customization, exit the Book of the Dead to return to the game. Step 9: Assign Golem to Skill Bar Go to your skill tree and assign the Golem skill to your skill bar. The Golem will automatically summon next to you. For PC Players: Press the 'S' key to open the Skill menu. Click on the "Skill Assignment" button. Scroll down to find the Golem skill among your unlocked abilities. Click and drag the Golem icon to an available skill slot on your skill bar. Release the mouse button to confirm the assignment. For Console Players: Press the Start button to open the Skill menu. Select the "Skill Assignment" button. Scroll down to find the Golem skill among your unlocked abilities. Use the controller to move the Golem skill to an available slot on your skill bar. Press the appropriate button to confirm the assignment. Having Problems Summing Golem? If you're unable to summon a Golem in Diablo 4, it's likely that you haven't yet reached Level 25 or completed the necessary quest, "The Underworld Quest," to unlock this ability. Additionally, you must assign the Golem skill to your skill bar and possibly have the Book of the Dead in your inventory. If your Golem isn't spawning in Diablo 4, there could be several reasons. You may not have properly assigned the Golem skill to your skill bar, or you might be facing a game bug. Also, ensure that you've customized your Golem in the Book of the Dead, as this is a prerequisite for summoning it.
